2 years 2 months (May 2015 – Jul 2017) as a helper in Lebanon

Helen Joy worked in a 4-bedroom apartment with 5-toilets, 3-living room and a kitchen for a Lebanese family of 4 with a 5-year-old, together with an Ethiopian helper. Daily she looks after the child welfare, cleans and tidy the house, assist employer to prepare and cook for the family, do laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she learned to be a patient, hardworking and caring helper, for her future employment, she hopes to learn new culture and cuisine.

(Aug 2017 – May 2021) Returned home, looks after her family welfare and seek new work opportunities.  

6 months (Jun 2021 – Dec 2021) Works as sales assistant in Bacolod city, Philippines.

(Jan 2022 – present) Stays home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant. Her ex-abroad experience had taught her to better look after child welfare. She prepares the child’s meals, keep company and play with her, dress and get her ready for school, attend to and assist with her daily needs. She also looked after her employer’s infant grandchild for three months during their home vacation and would prepare infant’s milk and fed him, bathe and change him with fresh clothing and diaper, keep company, play with him, soothe the baby to sleep.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly and she looks after her 73-year-old, semi-paralyzed father at home. She would prepare his meals, assist to bathe and change him with fresh clothing, attend to and assist with his daily needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In Lebanon, she groom Persian cat, fed and keep clean the pet area.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2-year contract.


Recommendation

In summary, Helen Joy is mature and ready to take on new challenge. She does housekeeping chores, willing to take care children and/or infant and elderly.
