6 years 6 months (May 2009 – Nov 2015) as helper in the Philippines

Chinky worked in a 2-storey house with 5-bedrooms, 3-toilets, 2-living rooms and a kitchen for a family of 4 with a 4-year-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, weekly marketing, prepare and cook for the family, do laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new experiences and culture.

Stay home, spend time with her family and currently works as a Cashier cum vault custodian in a jewellery pawnshop in Bacolod City, Philippines.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, menudo and sinigang etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her nephew’s welfare. In her previous experience, she prepared the child’s milk and meals, bathed, dressed and sent him to-and-fro from school, accompanied him for outdoor play activities, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In her previous experience, she groomed and fed three Shih Tzu, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Chinky is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
