Experiences

1 year 11 months (Feb 2016 – Jan 2018) as a helper in the Philippines

Evangeline worked in bungalow with 3-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 3 with a 6-year-old, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(2018 – 2019)

Stayed home, took rest and seek new work opportunities.

3 years (2019 – 2023) as a stay-out caregiver in the Philippines

Evangeline looked after the welfare of a 91-year-old bedridden female. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to save up and widen her experience.

(2024 – present)

Stays home, looks after her child welfare, and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as chicken adobo, sinigang, chicken curry, chicken tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared her meals, bathed, dressed and get her ready for school, accompanied her during play activities and night hours, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her caregiving experience, she prepared and cooked her meals, bathed and dressed her with fresh clothing and diapers, administered her medications and massages, changed her bed position, accompanied her outdoor for strolls and relaxation, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In her previous experience, she groomed and fed two Labradors, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Evangeline is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
