Experiences

2 years 11 months (Jan 2021 – Dec 2023) as helper in the Philippines

Victoria worked in a bungalow with 5-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 5 with a 10-month-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, wash and clean up the kitchen and utensils after use, laundry and handwash of the baby’s clothing, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Stays home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, sinigang etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared his milk and fed him, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, accompanied him for outdoor sunshine and relaxation, watched over his playing and safety, kept company and soothed him to sleep, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly, and she looks after her 60-year-old mother-in-law with hypertension. She prepares her meals, administers her medications, accompanies her during outdoor activities, maintains cleanliness and hygiene, attends to and assists in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed a beagle, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Victoria is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
