2 years 1 month (Dec 2016 – Jan 2019) as a helper in the Philippines

Queenie worked in a flat with a single bedroom, toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 2 with a 5-year-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(2019 – 2020)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and seek new work opportunities.

1 year (2021 – 2022) as On-Call Cleaner in the Philippines

She cleaned and tidied flats and 2-storey houses. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.  

(2023 – present)

Stays home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she look after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared his meals, bathed, dressed and get him ready for school, administered his vitamins and medications, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed a Shih Tzu and Aspin, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Queenie is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
