Experiences

4 years (Oct 2018 – Oct 2022) as a helper in Kuwait

Jenny worked in a 2-storey house with 3-bedrooms, 3-toilets, 2-living rooms, a garage and kitchen for a Kuwaiti family of 4 with a 17- and 18-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Nov 2022 – May 2023)

Returned home, took rest and applied to work in Abu Dhabi.  

5 months (Jun 2023 – Nov 2023) as a nanny cum helper in Abu Dhabi

Jenny worked in a 3-storey house with 8-bedrooms, 13-toilets, 4-living rooms, 3-kitchens and a garage for an Arabian family of 5 with a 1-, 5- and 7-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a driver, an Indian and two Filipina co-helpers. Daily, she cleans and tidy the children’s bedrooms, marketing, prepare and cook for the children, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better helper.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as kabsa, molokhia, marag white rice and salata.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk, meals and fed them, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, administered their vitamins and medications, kept company and played with them, soothed them to sleep, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, accompanied them for outdoor activities and travel abroad, tutored and supervised their schoolwork, attended to and assisted in their needs.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Jenny is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
