Joecel worked in a 2-storey house with 2-bedrooms, 3-toilets, 2-living rooms and a kitchen for a family of 4 with a 4- and 11-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

2 years 5 months (May 2013 – Oct 2015) as a helper in the Philippines

Joecel worked in a 2-storey bungalow with 5-bedrooms, 6-toilets, 2-living rooms and a kitchen for a family of 4 with a 11-, 20- and 25-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, tend to garden and plant watering, wash and clean the family car.

(Oct 2015 – Dec 2015)

5 months (Dec 2015 – May 2016) as helper/ cleaner in the Philippines

She worked in a pension house, together with 4 male and 2 female co-helpers. She cleaned and tidied 12-bedrooms, 15-toilets, a prayer room, hall ways, washed and cleaned bedsheets, bedlinens and blankets, tend to garden and plant watering. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better helper.

(Jun 2016 – present)

Stays home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, tutored and supervised their schoolwork, accompanied them for outdoor activities, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her previous experience, she prepared her meals, bathed and dressed her with fresh clothes, administered her medications, assisted in her mobility, accompanied her outdoor for sunshine and strolls, attended to all her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In her previous experience, she groomed, fed and walked a Shih Tzu, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Joecel is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
