Heidi 34 separated with a 2-year-old, and the youngest child in the family of 7 siblings. She wants to work in Singapore to support and save up for her son, and she is from Antique, Philippines.

Heidi is inexperienced as a helper, but she is keen to learn. As a mother and aunt, she looks after her family’s welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, do laundry, ironing and folding, change bedlinens and curtains. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Malaysia, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as ikan with peanut, sotong, Malaysian and Chinese fried rice, noodles or soup, sushi, and grilled lamb.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own, nephew and niece’ welfare. She prepares their milk and meals, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, bathe and change them with fresh clothing and diapers, sing lullabies and soothe to sleep, teach and familiarize them with colors, letters, animals, and numbers, attend to and assist them in their needs.



Elderly Care    

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care    

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed a mixed-breed dog, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Heidi is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
