Experiences

3 years 5 months (Jun 2010 – Nov 2013) as a helper in the Philippines

Criezel worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 3 with a 3-month-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Dec 2013 – Jan 2020)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and seek new work opportunities.

2 years 2 months (Feb 2020 – Apr 2022) as a helper in the Philippines

Criezel worked in a flat with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family of 4 with a 10- and 16-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.  

(May 2022 – present)

Stays home, worked as cashier/ bagger in a grocery store for more than a year in the Philippines, and seek new job opportunities.  



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as sinigang, puchero etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her local experience, she prepared infant’s milk and meals for older children, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed the infant and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, soothed him to sleep, dressed and get the older children ready for school, attended to and assisted in their needs.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Criezel is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
