1 year 11 months (Sep 2022 – Aug 2024) as a helper in Qatar

Cheryl worked in a 3-storey landed property with 4-bedrooms, 4-toilet, 3-living room and 2-kitchen for a Qatari family of 3 with a 6-month-old, and she looked after his welfare, together with a cook. Daily, she cleans and tidy the 2-bedrooms, prepare and cook for the child, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.  



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In Qatar, she prepared infant’s milk and fed him, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, watched over his safety, sang lullabies and soothed him to sleep.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. While in Qatar, she fed a fish and kept clean the aquarium.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Cheryl is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
