Gorgonia worked in a 3-storey, 3 bedrooms, 4 toilets flat in a family of 6 with a 1 month old girl, 3 children, age 5, 8 and 10 years old. Her daily starts at 5 am, she prepared and cooked the family meals, cleaned and tidied the house, do laundry and ironing work, fetch the children to-and-fro from school. As for the 1 month old baby, she prepared and fed milk, clean and sterilize milk bottle, sing lullaby and put baby to sleep. Gorgonia didn’t finished her contract, because she overworked and wasn’t given sufficient food.

(Aug 2018- Feb 2019) as a bread shop staff in the Philippines.

2 years (Apr 2019 – Apr 2021) work as helper in Singapore.

Gorgonia worked in a 4-rooms HDB with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets and single living for a family of 4 with an infant. Daily she clean and tidy the house, prepare and cook meals for the family, wash and clean kitchen and utensils after use, do laundry, ironing and folding, looks after the infant welfare, wash and clean up after him, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, prepares milk and fed him, bathe and change him with fresh clothing and diaper, keep company and play with him, accompany him outdoor for sunshine and relaxation, administer his vitamins and medications, sing lullaby and soothe him to sleep. As for the older child, she prepares his meals, wash and clean up after him, supervise and assist with his schoolwork, administer his vitamins and supplications, dress him with fresh clothing, send him-to-and-from school. In all these, she learned to be a responsible and reliable helper and for her future employment, she hopes to learn new culture, to cook Chinese and other various dishes.

(May 2021 – present) Returned home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes as well.


Childcare

She is keen to look after children and infant.


Handphone

She will follow the employer's instruction regarding handphone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own handphone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper, this will be stated in the Job Offer.


Off-day

The helper is entitled to weekly off-day or at least 1 off-day per month and the other 3 working off-days, she will be compensated accordingly. Any other off-day arrangement is between employer and helper, this will be stated in the Job Offer.


2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2-year contract.


Recommendation

Gorgonia is experience and looks forward to working in Singapore. She is mature and ready to take on new challenge. She does housekeeping chores, willing to look after children and/or infants. We believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
