Experiences

2 years 3 months (Jul 2019 – Oct 2021) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Marites worked in a 3-storey house with 7-bedrooms, 7-toilets, 3-living room and a kitchen for a family of 7 with a 79-year-old diabetic female with hypertension and renal failure, together with a Filipino, Moroccan and an Ethiopian co-helpers. Daily she cleans and tidy patient’s bedroom, do her laundry and folding, looks after her welfare. In all these, she learned to better look after the elderly welfare, be a patient and kind helper, for her future employment, she hopes to save up.

(Nov 2021 – present) Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.  



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and had experience looking after her own since birth. She would prepare their milk and meals, wash and clean up after them, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, bathe and change them with fresh clothing and diaper, administer their medication when they are unwell, dress and get them ready for school, assist and supervise with their schoolwork, soothe them to sleep, attend to and assist with their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Saudi, she prepare the patient’s meals, assist in her movement, accompany her for outdoor activities, relaxation and travel abroad, administer her medication, attend to and assist with her daily needs.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Marites is mature and ready to take on new challenge. She does housekeeping chores, willing to take care children and/or infant and mobile elderly.

Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family. We trust you can consider her and give Marites an opportunity to work with you.
