1 year 8 months (Feb 2022 – Oct 2023) as a Caregiver in a Home for the Aged in Cebu, Philippines

Jelyn looked after bedridden patients with Alzheimer, dementia, diabetic and stroke patients. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better caregiver.

Stays home, sales of street foods and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as pork afritada, beef steak with mushroom or broccoli, pork menudo, etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infants, and looks after her niece and nephew’s welfare, prepare their milk and meals, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, bathe and dress them with fresh clothing and diapers, send them to-and-fro from school, watch over their playing and safety, keep company and soothe them to sleep, tutor and supervise their schoolwork, attend to and assist in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her caregiving experience, she prepared their meals and fed them, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, accompanied them for outdoors strolls and exercises, checked their vital signs, attended to and assisted in patients' needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and a pet lover and back home, she grooms and feed six-Aspin and three-cats, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Jelyn is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
