Experiences

6 years 4 months (Jul 2017 – Nov 2023) as helper in Saudi Arabia

Aiza Mae worked in a 3-storey house with 7-toilets, 6-living rooms, 5-bedrooms, 2-kitchen, a small garden and garage for an Arabian family of 4, together with a driver. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

Returns home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.  In Saudi, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes such as kabsa, biryani, samboosa etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her 6-month-old niece. She prepares her milk and feed her, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, bathe and dress her with fresh clothing and diapers, watch over her playing and safety, sing lullabies and soothe her to sleep.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly and back home, she looks after her bedridden mother for two months till recovery. She prepared her meals and fed her, bathed and dressed her with fresh clothing and diapers, administered her medications, accompanied her for medical check-ups and outdoor relaxation.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In Saudi, she fed a feline and a caged bird, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Aiza Mae is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
