11 months (Sep 2011 – Aug 2012) as a helper in Singapore

Kristine worked in a condo with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Malaysian-Chinese family of 4 with an 8- and 12-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, assist employer in marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, weekly washing and cleaning of the family car. She didn’t complete the contract due to family matter. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better helper.

Returns home, looks after her family, sells plastic wares and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Singapore, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as steam dishes, chili crab etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her nieces and nephew welfare. In Singapore, she prepared their meals, dressed and accompanied them to-and-fro from school, tutored and supervised their schoolwork, joined them for outdoor play activities, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2-year contract.
