4 months (Mar 2018 – Jul 2018) as helper in Hong Kong

Maureen worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Malaysian-Chinese family of 5 with a 4- and 7-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and currently, works as a part-time Real-Estate Agent in the Philippines.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Hong Kong, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as steam fish and stir-fried vegetables.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants and looks after her own since birth. In Hong Kong, she prepared their meals, bathed, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, accompanied them in their play activities, assisted and supervised with their schoolwork, attended to and assisted with their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed three Aspin, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Maureen is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
