Experiences

2 years 3 months (Jan 2015 – Apr 2017) as helper in Kuwait

Monalisa worked in a 3-storey house with 6-toilets, 5-bedrooms, a living room, garden, garage and kitchen for a Kuwaiti family of 9 with a 7-, 9- and 15-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a driver and Filipina co-helper. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, laundry, ironing, and folding.

(May 2017 – Aug 2017)

Returned home, worked as an on-call nanny and applied to work in Hong Kong.

5 months (Sep 2017 – Feb 2018) as helper in Hong Kong

Monalisa worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room, and kitchen for a Chinese family of 3 with a 4-year-old, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, wash and clean up the kitchen and utensils after use, laundry, ironing, and folding.

(2018)

Returned home and applied to work in Riyadh.

2 years (2018 – 2020) as On-Call Cleaner in Riyadh

Monalisa cleaned and tidied various 2- and 3-storey residences houses. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

(Feb 2024 – present)

Works as a Laundry Attendant in the Philippines.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as pinakbet, sinigang, fish and chicken tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/infants. In her previous experience, she prepared their meals, bathed, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, tutored and supervised their schoolwork, accompanied them in their play and outdoor activities, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly, and she looks after her 78-year-old father with heart enlargement. She prepares and cook his meals, administer his medications, attended to and assist in his needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms, feed and walk two Aspin, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Monalisa is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
