Experiences

2 years (Nov 2017 – Nov 2019) as helper in Oman

Princess Joy worked in a 2-storey house with 6-bedrooms, 6-toilets, a living room, garage and kitchen for an Omani-Pakistani family of 7 with a 2-year-old, and she looked after his welfare, together with a Filipina cook. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, laundry and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

(Dec 2019 – present)

Returns home, looks after her children welfare, worked as a Secretary in a fish market for 7-months, and seek job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Oman, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as biryani and pasta etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant and looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk, meals and fed him, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed, dressed and sent him to-and-fro from school, watched over his playing and safety, attended to and assisted in his needs.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Princess Joy is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
