Experiences

1 year 1 month (May 2018 – Jun 2019) as a helper in the Philippines

Jamin worked in a bungalow with 3-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for family of 3 with a 2-year-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, wash and clean kitchen and utensils after use, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Stayed home, spent time with her family and seek new work opportunities.

(Feb 2022 – Feb 2024)

During this period, she worked as a Food Server at Dayno Café and Vlyvon Restaurant respectively. In between, she took rest.

(Mar 2024 – present)

Stays home, take rest and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, stirred fried veggies, etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants. In her previous experience, she prepared his milk, meals and fed him, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, kept company and played with him, soothed him to sleep, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed five Aspin and four felines, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Jamin is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
