8 months (Apr 2020 – Dec 2020) as a helper in the Philippines

Joan worked in a bungalow with 4-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a couple. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the couple, wash and clean up the kitchen and utensils after use, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Dec 2020 – Jan 2021)

Stayed home, took rest and seek new work opportunities.

(Jan 2021 – Jan 2024) as a nanny cum helper in the Philippines

Joan worked in a bungalow with 3-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and a kitchen for a family of 3 with a 2-year-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, wash and clean up the kitchen and utensils after use, laundry and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

(Feb 2024 – present)

Stays home, take rest and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, sinigang and tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants. In her previous experience, she prepared his meals and fed him, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, maintained cleanliness and hygiene, accompanied him for playing and during the night hours, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Joan is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
