(Jan 9, 2015 – Jan 30, 2015) 800 hours OJT in Caregiving in a hospital in the Philippines

Donna Grace looked after newborns, postnatal mother and patients involved in car accidents and other medical conditions. She also volunteered in outreach and feeding programme in nursing homes and barangays. During such event, she looked after the elderly welfare, monitored and checked their vital signs, accompanied and assisted in their activities and exercises routine, ensure proper hygiene and sanitation.

Stayed home, spent time with her family, and seek new work opportunities.

1 year (Jan 2018 – Jan 2019) as a caregiver for her relatives in the Philippines

Donna Grace looked after the welfare of a 62-year-old female with pneumonia.

(Feb 2019 – May 2019)

Stayed home, took rest and seek new work opportunities.

(Jun 2019 – July 2024) as a caregiver in the Philippines

Donna Grace worked in a flat with 3-bedrooms, 4-toilets, 2-kitchen and a living room for a family of 4 with a 56-year-old diabetic male patient undergone kidney transplant with hypertension, and she looked after his welfare, together with an on-call helper. Daily, she prepares and cook for the patient, marketing, does his laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better caregiver.   



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her nieces and nephews’ welfare. She prepares their milk and meals, wash and sterilize feeding bottles, bathe, dress and send them to school, tutor and supervise their schoolwork, attend to and assist in their needs.



Elderly Care    

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her caregiving experience, she prepares their meals and fed via NGT, bathe and change their soiled clothes and diapers, check vital signs, such as blood sugar level, accompany him outdoor for medical check-ups, strolls and during hospital admission, administer medications and insulin, attend to and assist in his needs.



Pet Care    

She is keen to look after pets. In her previous experience, she grooms, feed and walk two small dogs, keep clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

As a caregiver, her main duty is towards patient’s welfare and wellness, hygiene and cleanliness of patient’s room area. Donna Grace is mature and ready to take on new challenge.
