5 years 1 month (Mar 2001 – Apr 2006) as a helper cum working student in the Philippines

Janice worked in a 2-storey house with 5-bedrooms, 4-toilets, a living room and kitchen for an elderly couple. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the couple, laundry, ironing and folding.

Stayed home, spent time with her family and seek new work opportunities.

4 years 1 month (May 2007 – Jun 2011) as a helper cum working student in the Philippines

Janice worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family of 5 with a 5-, 7- and 74-year-old female, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Stays home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants. In her local experience, she prepared their meals, bathed, dressed and get them ready for school, attended to and assisted in their needs.  



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her local experience, she prepared their meals, changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, checked and monitored vital signs, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed a Shih Tzu and five Aspin, keep clean the pet areas. 



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

As a caregiver, her main duty is towards patient’s welfare and wellness, hygiene and cleanliness of patient’s room area. Janice is mature and ready to take on new challenge.
