Experiences

6 years 1 month (Jun 2017 – Jul 2023) as a helper in Oman

Rochelle worked in a 2-storey house with 4-bedrooms, 4-toilets, a living room, garden, garage and kitchen for a Royal family of 7 with a 4-year-old triplets and 10-year-old twins, and she looked after their welfare, together with 9 co-helpers. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car.

(Aug 2023 – May 2024)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and seek new work opportunities.

(Jun 2024 – present) as on-call nanny in the Philippines

Rochelle looks after the welfare of a 10-year-old boy with special needs. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.  



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Oman, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as biryani, saloona etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their meals, bathed, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, watched over their playing and safety, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after small pets. In her local experience, she groomed, fed and walked three Shih Tzu, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Rochelle is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
