Experiences

10 years 4 months (Aug 2007 – Dec 2017) as a helper in Lebanon

Marie Fe worked on the 10th and 11th floors in a condo for an elderly couple with a 70-year-old male with prostate cancer, and she looked after his welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the 4-bedrooms and 4-toilets at 11th floor, and living room, dining room, balcony and kitchen at 10th floor, do marketing, prepare and cook for the couple, does laundry and folding, tend to garden and plant watering

Returned home, spent time with her family and applied to work in Hong Kong.  

5 years 7 months (Sep 2018 – Apr 2024) as a helper in Hong Kong

Marie Fe worked in a 3-storey house with 5-bedrooms, 6-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a British-Malaysian Indian family of 6, together with a co-helper. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, tend to garden and plant watering. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Lebanese and Chinese dishes, such as chicken biryani, molokhia, bemi, salads, stir fried vegetables and meat, pad Thai noodles etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Lebanon, she prepared and cooked his meals, administered his medications, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. While in Hong Kong, she groomed and fed two boxer dogs, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Marie Fe is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
