Experiences

4 years 8 months (Oct 2018 – Jun 2023) as a helper for her neighbor in the Philippines

Jenerose worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for an elderly couple with a 66-year-old bedridden male, a stroke patient, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the couple, does laundry and folding.

2 years 4 months (Jul 2022 – Nov 2024) as a nanny in the Philippines

Jenerose assisted to look after her 2-year-old nephew since 4-month-old. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Stays home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.   





Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adodo, afritada, chicken tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she assisted to look after her 2-year-old nephew since infant. She prepared his milk and fed him, bathed and changed his soiled clothes and diapers, kept company and soothed him to sleep.  



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her local experience, she prepared his meals and fed him, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, accompanied him for outdoor sunshine and relaxation, attended to and assisted in his needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Jenerose is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
