Experiences

2 years (Mar 2013 – Mar 2015) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Yvonn Fe worked in a 3-storey house 5-bedrooms, 5-toilets, a living room and kitchen for an Arabian family of 7 with an infant, 5-, 10-, 15- and 17-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook breakfast for the children, laundry, ironing and folding.

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Hong Kong.  

2 years (Jul 2016 – Jul 2018) as a helper in Hong Kong

Yvonn Fe worked in a condo with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 3 with an 3-year-old, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic and Chinese dishes, such as kabsa, steam fish and chicken etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and sent them to school bus or train, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly, and she looked after her employer’s 73-year-old diabetic mother for three months. She prepared her meals and fed her, assisted to bathe, checked and monitored her blood sugar level, administered her medications, dressed her wounds, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets and back home, she grooms and feed two local dogs, and a cat, keep clean the pet areas.  



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Yvonn Fe is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
