Experiences

3 years (Oct 2014 – Oct 2017) as a caregiver in Taiwan

Janeth worked in a 2-storey house with 4-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family of 4 with an 85-year-old female, a semi-paralyzed patient, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, does the elderly’s laundry.

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Taiwan.   

2 years 1 month (Dec 2017 – Jan 2020) as a caregiver in Taiwan

Janeth worked in a condo with a single bedroom, toilet, living room and kitchen for an 80-year-old male, a cancer patient (spinal cord). Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the patient, does the elderly’s laundry.

(Jan 2020 – Feb 2020)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Taiwan.   

3 years 4 months (Feb 2020 – Jun 2023) as a caregiver in Taiwan

Janeth looked after the welfare of a 45-year-old male, a paralyzed patient fed via NGT. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.   


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Taiwan, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her previous experience, she prepared their meals and fed them, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, administered their medications, performed suctioning, checked and monitored vital signs such as blood pressure level, provided massages, accompanied them for outdoor relaxation and medical check-ups, transferred from bed to wheelchair and vice versa, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

As a caregiver, her main duty is towards patient’s welfare and wellness, hygiene and cleanliness of patient’s room area. Janeth is mature and ready to take on new challenge.
