Experiences

9 months (Jun 2014 – Mar 2015) as a helper in Taiwan

Loraine worked in a townhouse with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Taiwanese family of 4. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

Stayed in the Taiwan agency pending clarification.

4 years 3 months (May 2015 – Aug 2019) as a caregiver cum helper in Taiwan

Loraine worked in a 3-storey house with 3-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a Taiwanese family of 3 with a 90-year-old male with spinal injury and fed via NGT, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook his meals over the weekends, does the patient’s laundry and folding.

(Sep 2019 – Oct 2021)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Singapore.  

1 year 11 months (Nov 2021 – Oct 2023) as a caregiver cum helper in Singapore

Loraine worked in a HDB flat with a a single bedroom, toilet, living room and kitchen for a Chinese couple with an 86-year-old male, a wheelchair bound patient with prostate cancer, and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook dinner, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Nov 2023 – Jan 2024)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Singapore.  

3 months (Feb 2024 – May 2024) as a caregiver cum helper in Singapore

Loraine worked in a HDB flat with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Singaporean family of 3 with a 59-year-old female with colostomy infection, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook simple dishes, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well and for her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better caregiver.

(Jun 2024 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as sweet and sour pork, wanton, lotus and ABC soup, stir fried vegetable, spicy garlic bok chouy etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children, and she looks after her own since birth. She prepared his milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed him with fresh clothing and diapers, accompanied him for outdoor activities, dressed and get him ready for school, attended to and assisted in his needs.

Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her previous experience, she prepared their meals and fed them, assisted to bathe and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, administered their medications, maintained cleanliness and hygiene, cleaned and dressed bed sores, assisted in their mobility, transferred from bed to wheelchair and vice versa, accompanied them for medical check-ups, checked and monitored vital signs, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
